I was following this thread about formatting Windows 8 without losing files, but I’m still not clear on one thing — does the built-in reset option actually keep everything safe, or is there still a risk of losing some data? When I was setting up my system last time, I also had to do an openssh-win64 download for remote access, and that part worked fine, but the formatting process itself always makes me a bit nervous.
