Last night Sherry J and I binge watched Colin kaepernick's Netflix series. It was totally different from what I thought it would be as a documentary and the commentation by Colin Kaepernick really opened up about what he was going through in high school and the racial issues and bigotry Colin experienced while traveling on his baseball tournaments. Colin did not put emphasis on the trials and tribulations he would later face in the NFL but Colin did elaborate on his parents misconceptions of
blatant white privilege, culture indifference and moral support a boy of color must have to tackle bigotry in America. They were supportive in his sports endeavors and education but lacked the tools that would help Colin address the issues he faced as an athlete of color. My question to the membership is choices. I request you watch the series and let's discuss your intake on the film.
